Description

You unleash a whispering dart of necrotic energy that darts toward one creature within range. The target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or take 1d6 necrotic damage and have its hit point maximum reduced by an amount equal to the damage dealt until the spell ends. On a successful save, the target takes half damage and suffers no reduction. While the spell persists, you can use your action on subsequent turns to send the death whisper to sap the target's vitality again, repeating the save and damage effect. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the necrotic damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 2nd.
